August ILWS card swap....

Each month I take part in a monthly card swap with other demonstrators on the In Love With Stamping Forum.  Each month has a theme and I wanted to share with you the cards I have made for this month's theme, Watercolour.  We make five identical cards and we send them off to Sue who collates them all and sends us back five cards (including one of our own).  I love watercolouring so I was quite happy with this theme and it meant I got to use a new hostess stamp set called Best Thoughts that I had not yet had an opportunity to play with!  I have quite a few sets like that at the moment, too many to choose from lol!

Here is the first one I made using Real Red, Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride.

As you imagine, watercolouring these beauties takes a little long time so the thought of doing five all the same colour did not appeal so I decided to mix things up a bit.

This next one was made using Hello Honey and So Saffron.  The card base is Delightful Dijon.

This one is made using Lost Lagoon and Pool Party.

This one is made using Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette.

And finally, this one was made using Blackberry Bliss and Rich Razzleberry.

And here they are all together, so which is your favourite?

I loved making these samples and I will share with you the cards I received in return in due course.

August Monthly Class...

Today I want to share with you this month's class projects and cards.  Dare I say it but I had a request to start some Christmas cards to get us 'ahead of the game'!  In my mind I had already decided to use the Circle of Spring stamp set this month so it seemed fitting to incorporate the Wondrous Wreath stamp set (which uses the same dies) into this class to add a 'touch' of Christmas, I couldn't face going to whole way just yet!!  I also wanted to introduce my ladies to the Gift Bag Punch Board.  I love all these boards and the lovely Val Moody has created a series of video tutorials to make all the bags/boxes shown and you can find them here.

Here is what we made....

Merry Christmas ... Sneak Peaks....

Hi all, my pre-order from the Autumn/Winter catalogue arrived on Friday. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, one of the perks is that we get to pre-order items from a new catalogue before they go on general sale to the public. It gives us a chance to create some samples for you all and I have a treat for you today. I had a spare hour in the day today (I made sure of it!) so I created three samples. I have used all new products on these samples, see how many you can spot!
